A microchip is an electronic way of permanently associating your ownership information with your pet. The microchip itself is about the size of a grain of rice and is implanted subcutaneously (under the skin).
Microchips can be implanted without the need for any pain medication or sedation. They will be registered at your visit by filling out a form of personal information we send to the company so from that point on your pet will be covered if lost. All veterinary clinics, animal shelters, animal control & humane societies have microchip scanners that can be used to get your pet back home to you.
